I believe it's on the mother board, Craig...
And you have to be careful in replacing it or you'll need HP out to
reset your licensing/model string/susan info.

I think you said you have a 969, the battery is certainly NOT on the CPU
board.
It is most likely on the Core/IO card.. I have to check, or the
backplane.
