The real question to me, is "Did anyone else notice a drop in the
telemarketers".

Hmmm... somehow I get the feeling you don't really believe it :)

I think it is a reasonable fake, and here's my evidence:  Look over towards
the west coast where the desert regions of arizona and nevada can be
found -- the "unlit" area is still vaguely-blue as opposed to dark
blue/black; I'd expect the "blackout" region to appear to be the same --
because of the "darkness" of the supposedly blacked-out area, I imagine some
creative soul and a copy of photoshop are behind this... ;)
