This is not meant to address any point made in the original post. It is just
a tidbit I became aware of today and seemed apropos.

Apparently the Alamo is again under attack and in danger of falling. This
time it is not Santa Ana and his army that are threatening the venerable
structure. Apparently the woodwork is infested with termites. Officials say
they should be able to kill the insects and still keep the site open.

Let Peace be the maxim by which we act because we will Peace to become a
universal law.
