I am still trying to get some info on PJL problems communicating with MPE for presenting to the Roundtable at HPWorld.

The main problem I have identified is that to get certain printers to set up properly as a networked printer (without console msgs such as an IPRECV intrinsic error), you must define them in the NPCONFIG.PUB.SYS file as "pjl_supported = false". So far I am aware of a problem with this on a LaserJet 5N.

Any other problem printers like this.

I know that MPE is expecting PJL commands in double quotes from earlier experience. I think MPE may be behind the curve on PJL commands. I would like to take some hard evidence to the Roundtable, but suspicions.
