We are using DTCs (original 48 & 16 to 72MX) connecting to both MPE and
VMS. Nothing extra and works like a charm. (latest version of Openview DTC
manager 2.41 I think).

I have been asked if we will be able to access a new Unix host from the
DTC we currently use to access two HP3000 MPE/iX host systems. The DTCs
are managed with OPENVIEW DTCMGR (WIN 3.1).

If this is possible which version of DTCMGR & Openview would be
required? I know the DTCs have been upgraded to handle the current
MPE/iX 5.0 operating environment. We are planning to move to MPE/iX
5.5-Express 2 by the time the Unix host arrives.

Ok OpenView 2.41 to drive printers from both MPE and HP-UX.
"Nothing extra", but are you using Jet Direct. All of our printers
are serial connect to the DTC.
