Jim,

I have also experienced this when a job has output to a non spooled
device. It will just sit there waiting for the I/O to complete. Do a SHOWOUT
JOB=#Jnnnn and check all of the devices listed to see if they are spooled. If
not, do an ABORTIO on the device, and the job should come down.

Subject: When ABORTJOB Doesn't Work...

I have a job that refuses to go away. I used the vendor's
shutdown commands to no avail. ABORTJOB #Jnnnn is ineffective.
SHOWPROC ;JOB=#Jnnnn says there is not matching process.

Any ideas to get rid of this job *now*? Or must I go to
work (I'm warm and snug at home now), call the other two
locations who are using the HP3K, and reboot the machine?

Thanks for any help.
