Thank you for verifying that I was setting the
switch up propperly. I put a test in the beginning
of the program to display the setting and it worked!
Evidently, the switch is being overlayed or reset
by a subroutine or something?????

Now I interrogate the switch immediately after starting
the procedure division and set a flag for testing later
in the program. Some day when there is more time I will
go back and try to determine what is happening.

This was one of those frustrating ones!!!!!
