Hello everyone:

Seeing Gilles Schipper's signature gave me some ideas:

As you may have seen on the back covers of many Interact Magazines and
HP3000 NewsWires, I like to stress the strengths of the MPE/iX operating
system, of the HP3000 computer, and of the IMAGE DBMS.

We just entered into an additional contract with Interex for a monthly
full-page ad on their new publication, "HP World", which will go to
EVERYONE who uses HP computers (not just to the tightly-knit HP3000
community, as Interact does). This is an excellent opportunity (pardon the
repetition, but it's important) to stress the strengths of the MPE/iX
operating system, of the HP3000 computer, and of the IMAGE DBMS.

Back to Gilles Schipper's signature... People who have "first-hand
real-life out-in-the-trenches" experience with OTHER computer systems (for
instance, the HP9000 in the case of Gilles) surely know several things
where the HP3000 really excels and the other systems tend to screw up (I
want to restrict the issues to OLTP *serving*). I would like to stress
those things in future Adager advertisements. (Naturally, there are some
things where such other systems may excel. But I will respectfully defer
things to THEIR champions so that they may spend THEIR money advertising
such features, if any.)

Now that CSY is in turbo-charged mode regarding the phenomenal prospects of
the HP3000, we might as well all chip in.

Ladies and Gentlemen, start your keyboards!
