Strange VStore message

The last two nights we have gotten a strange message on a file we are unable to validate with VSTORE after the store. This is a database root file that was restored two days ago from a full dump done in early Sept, 99.

The message is :
"Access to this file is denied for the specified file access; a security violation occurred. (FILE OPEN ERROR -248)
 [FILENAME.GROUP.ACCT] NOT VERIFIED HPFOPEN RAW FAILED.

Any hints?

The file has no ACD's, it is released, the creator exists. The group access is all GU, the account access is read and execute ANY, all others AC.
