You might check the web ... google shows a number of "cusoon" hits,
the most important being one or more existing "CUSoon" programs for PCs
and Macintoshes.

Additionally, I recommend never choosing a product name unless you can get the

You might investigate if you can use a Windows "notify on file closing"
mechanism, instead of polling.

Why?  For one, with a polling mechanism you might see the file before
it's fully FTP'd ... and accidentally read only part of it.
(A quick test seems to imply that's quite possible, particularly if
the sender is very busy.)

Also, a notify mechanism is always more timely than a polling mechanism,
and doesn't require fine tuning (e.g., how frequently the poll happens).
Of course, if there's no such mechanism on the system, it doesn't matter :)
