You may have read recently that Charles, the heir to our throne, is
shortly to marry his squeeze Camilla Parker-Bowles (or Camilla
Park-her-Bike, as she is popularly known), to varying levels of
indifference and/or dismay.
Despite assurances that she would be known only as the Princess Consort,
it now seems that she might gain the full title when Charles succeeds to
the monarchy.
This has met with disapproval in high places: in particular, Elizabeth
II was heard to remark: "Camilla to be Queen?? Over my dead body!"
