Environment: 979/200 running MPE/iX 6.5 + all reactive patches + Samba 2.0.7
(came with 6.5).

I'm finding loads of 'error' messages in the Samba log files and was
wondering if anybody else was getting them. The debug level is currently set
to 1 (one).

1) Everytime that the nameserver starts and writes it's startup banner to
log.nmb it is also writing the following message:

[2002/04/10 11:32:26, 0] lib/util_sock.c:open_socket_in(904)
setsockopt: SO_REUSEADDR=1 on port 137 failed with error = Operation not
supported on socket

2) The following group of messages is written to log.smb on a regular basis:

[2002/04/10 13:42:45, 0] lib/util_sock.c:set_socket_options(157)
Failed to set socket option TCP_NODELAY (Error Operation not supported on
