You pose a tough question, Jon.

Yhe decision involves a three way pull among stability, new functionality
and support.  If I need the functionalioty then I want the new release ASAP,
otherwise I stck with the old release as long as possible.  Obviously there
are some gray areas where the jew functionality is a"want" rather than a
need and/or I feel I might gain better stability with the new version (after
it hss been
 out for a while) for some reason.
