Well, I'm a little late to this party but I figure my $0.02 is worth the
same as anyone else's.

Given that Jesus was a real person, it has been documented by eye
witnesses that He: raised the dead, healed the sick, cured the lame,
opened the eyes of the blind, walked on water (Peter too), was himself
raised from the dead, rose in the air into the sky...

There were many eye witnesses to these things. Those that believed the
facts they were confronted with also make mention of others in the crowd
that did not believe (thought it a hoax or believed it did occur but was
power from the devil instead of God).

So, if the eye witnesses to these events would not accept the evidence
in front of their eyes, hands, ears (God's voice heard audibly, some
said it thundered), noses (Lazarus did not stink after being raised from
the dead after several days), mouths (the 5000 were fed, water into
wine), just what particular shred of evidence do people 2000 later think
they will find that is more convincing than what the eye witnesses
encountered.

Eve knew God personally but chose to believe Satan's lie about the fruit
instead of God's truth (she, Adam and the rest of us found out the hard
way).

So, basically, you have to choose whose report you are going to trust
since you cannot personally verify everything you read/hear and even
then, you have to choose how you are going to interpret it.

True science cannot hope but to confirm what is already written in the
Bible.

It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to
search out a matter. (Proverbs 25:2)
