If you're using software (OS) mirroring, i.e. the NT4-and-earlier "mirrored
set" stuff or Win2K mirrored volumes, you bring up the system on your
"Windows NT Fault Tolerance (FT) boot floppy disk" and rebuild the mirror;

Why Windows NT Does Not Boot From a Shadow Mirror Drive
IMPORTANT: if you didn't update your ERD after you created the mirror
set/volume, DO NOT use the "Repair" option of NT/2K setup. Doing so will
overwrite the disk-information section of the registry--the one on the hard
drive!--with the copy from the ERD, which did not show the mirrored state.
Doing so will put you in a situation where, in the immortal words of the
Bard, "Foresooth; thou art well and truly hosed."
