I always try to never "suggest" anything (I am the proud father of
three kids, including two teen-aged boys, after all ;-)
On second thought, I *did* suggest something: I suggested that, "to add
more chile to Wirt's soup, you might want to review Ivan Sutherland's
Turing-Award material".
I never said HOW you should interpret Ivan's thoughts. I never said
whether I agreed with Ivan or not. Why should I impose MY biases
on somebody else? Anybody can read Ivan's material and come up with
an independent conclusion. Regardless of your interpretation, I believe
that Ivan's essay is worthy of study. Apparently, so did the ACM, who
honored him with the prestigious Turing Award.

Good. I never said he was arguing AGAINST your position ;-)

This is, exactly, why I closed my previous note precisely thus,
frolicking with BOTH concepts (synchronous and asynchronous) in
a concurrent way:
But don't get out of sync in the process ;-)
While enjoying the asynchronous nature of hp3000-L, I remain
your most devoted and devilishly synchronous friend.
Getting ready to have some spicy soup with my entire family, to
celebrate Father's Day,
