Here is what I've found:

The HP3000 9x8 series is equivalent to the HP 9000 E-class.
The CE Handbook does NOT appear to either be online or orderable by the
public.

At docs.hp.com:

A2051-90006 HP 3000 9x8LX/RX Computer Installation and Configuration
Manual
                (this is mostly useless)

Orderable from www.partsdirect.hp.com (not online as far as I can
determine):

   A2051-90009 HP 3000 9x8LX/RX Computer Memory Upgrade Manual ($34.00)
   A2051-90015 HP 3000 9x8LX/RX Computer Disk Upgrade Manual ($11.00)
   A2051-90020 HP 3000 9x8LX/RX Computer Owner's Guide ($45.00)

Unfortunately, it is impossible to know what is in these manuals without
ordering them. Does anyone out there have any of them, and if so, could you
tell us if they are worth the money if someone wants to be a
self-maintainer?

John
