While I expect Jim's heart is in the right place, I respectfully
have to say Gavin is clearly right on this one: One word:
ORACLE: HP paid what was rumored to be a huge amount of
$$ to get oracle to port to the 3000. Official oracle support on
the 3K turns into a pumpkin at the end of CY2000...
If you have to pay somebody big-time dollars to port to your
platform, then whatever they're selling, you probably don't want
it.....
