Mark, you hit the nail on the head. MPE has JOBSTREAMs - IBM has
JCL. In all the years I have worked with the HP 3000, it's always
been a jobstream, but then I hear JCL from the ex-mainframers now
working with the HP 3000. I know old habits die hard, but this has
always been a pet peeve of mine (albeit minor). There's no such
thing as MPE JCL. MPE Commands are MPE commands, whether entered
interactively or submitted within a batch job.
Oh well, I guess the term is here to stay, so I guess I should just
"get used to it" (but it dosen't mean I have to like it, right? :)
Cheers,
Joe
