ok - I'll throw some bait into the water
to see what gets 'et...

Note: I am not taking a position on any of these
items at this time except #6 which is so obvious
as to be without debate.

1. HP's merger with Compaq has been a success and
without the consolidation they (HP) would be
in a real world of hurt in todays marketplace.

2. Market forces killed the HP e3000, not upper
HP Management.

3. The Passion of the Christ is the best movie of
the year (so far).

4. You don't have enough money to migrate from
HPe3000 and TurboIMAGE to ANY Oracle solution...

5. BASIC is THE only language worth using and all
programs should be written in this language.

6. The San Francisco Giants are going to win the World
Series this year (2004).

7. When doing business computations that are used to
represent real-world money (dollars and cents) make
sure you never use floating point. If you must, use
it wisely (and correctly).

8. Never trust a company that gives another company
a pot of money to be used to sue your company.

9. Oracle will win their lawsuit with the govt. and will
be given the opportunity to mess up PeopleSoft.

duane 'duck and run' percox
