In Qedit to delete a column or set of sequential columns do the following:
After opening your file go to the EDIT tab.
Inside the EDIT tab scroll down to the column tab, which will then bring up
3 options:
Select the DELETE option.
The delete option will bring up a box asking for the "from" & "to" columns
to delete. Enter your value(s) and click "OK".

Subject: [HP3000-L] Editor/Qedit question
Greetings HP list.
I can remember removing any blank lines in a flat file using QUAD with a
simple delete statement and QUAD allowed you to specify positions in each
record. We do not have QUAD here (or an old version of it), but I am
wondering if QEDIT allows this function?
Any help would be much appreciated!
Something like:
Delete all (position 1/2) " "???????
