Mike:

as far as i know, 5.5 is undergoing certification at CA, but not for any 9.x versions. the wingspan problems, depending on which ones you mean, were to have been fixed by 9.7 or so. if you are relying on CA for support, you may want to hold off on 5.5. if you are not using CA for support, probably The Support Group (Terry Floyd) or Advacate or CORE could give you some insight on the dangers, if any, of going to 5.5.

Subject: Upgrade to 5.5

To other MANMAN sites running MPEiX 5.5:

I have heard that there are some issues with MANMAN (I'm using v9.7) on
5.5, I'm currently on 5.0. The particular issues of concern to me relate to
Wingspan. Are the problems with Wingspan on 5.5 the same or worse from 5.0?
And, do you have any connectivity problems with Wingspan and Reflection? If
so, are those users connected with TCP (Which stack are you using) or
direct connect?

I'm hoping the "problems" are the same and not worse than the existing ones
on 5.0 where I do not experience much. CA has STRONGLY recommended against
going to 5.5, however, it sounds like the issues are the same as exist on
5.0, but I'd like to know more.

TIA,

Mike Gabriel
