Consumers in general (including businesses!) should think more about future
spare parts availablility.  Note that the PRICE of spare parts is also an
issue!  Just because it is 'available' doesn't mean that it is available at a
reasonable price.  A pledge by a computer manufacturer to provide spare parts
and documentation at known prices would be a very good thing in the modern
world of instant obsolesence.
