The August/September dates are for some PC BIOS date checks,
12/31/1999 to 1/1/2000 is obvious (but not listed)
2/28-2/29/2000 - for the unexpected leap year
All quarter-end (3/31, 6/30, 9/30 and 12/31/2000) should be checked for
those quarter-end, semi-annual and year-end jobs,
the 12/31/2000 - 1/1/2001 should be checked just to be darned sure.
All PCs and servers should be checked for not only OS and application
compliance, but for BIOS date handling for the 1999-2000 cutover, as well as
the above dates. Any "no-name, white-box" PC should definately be checked
-- name brands usually have a rundown on their website as to what models are
compliant. For example, Compaq has a whole portion of their site devoted to
which models of their gear is compliant, searchable by model name and
number.
