Gee, it sounds like the precursor to the "instrument of obedience" implant
the Yonada had in the Star Trek episode "For The World Is Hollow And I Have
Touched The Sky" (original Star Trek series, episode 65, third season, air
date 11/8/68, stardate 5476.3).
