Can anyone point me to references that describe the label and file
structure that HP uses to record 9-track tapes. I have encountered
several different formats, but have found no explanations or
descriptions of them.

Specifically, I need to know the details about header and trialer labels
and placement and number of tapemarks for both single-volume and
multi-volume data sets.

I am very familiar with the label and file structure for IBM, ANSI and
ISO tapes - both labeled and unlabeled. I am looking for similar
specifications for HP tape formats.

TIA

Bill
