I have every reason, justifiable to me, to believe the presentation was real and factual in content. Maybe aspects of the verbage was taken from paper, TO Me, he proved his point.
Do you think it is wise to show all proof, specially when that might harm the sources. The talking heads would, they dont care as long as it looks good on the 6:00 news.
Saddam is a crazy lunatic who cares nothing for anyone who is not Saddam. Either the world address him in a very timely fashion or the world will suffer the effects of Saddam. Notice, I said world, not just the U.S. However many countries will just sit back and wait until its over and then expect the U.S. to clean up the mess, so they can run in and profit.
BTW, I m over 45 and I have a postive upbeat attitude toward times and YES, I have paid attention. I normally feel that people who have negative attitude suffer from some aspect and feel a little sorry. In your case, I dont think that is the case at all. I happen to think that you are a very bright (total understatement) individual.
However, again WHO MADES FRED WHITE RIGHT??

I'm not smarter than you. Just more skeptical/pessimistic. If someone
is over thirty and not a pessimist, they haven't been paying attention.

Joe,
He spoke well. Showed some nice pictures (which could have bee taken
anytime, anywhere). Recited information from super secret documents
which definitely proved his contentions but which were subsequently
proven to be extracts (nearly word-for-word, including grammatical
errors) from a California student's PHD thesis.
If, on such an important occasion, our intelligence agencies had to
resort to providing Colin with such a NON "super secret" document, it
is difficult to believe that there really is some proof somewhere. If
so, he should have been provided with it.
?? Maybe he should have stayed with "what was not provided"?? His
presentation would have been a lot shorter and not subject to errors of
translation.
