I spent a few minutes trying to understand exactly what's new today with the
e3000 announcements. Unfortunately, I have not been able to find anything
which concisely explains what's new, what the prices are, what the
availability is, etc.

The 3000 NewsWire site is having network problems and is unreachable at the
moment. (Ron, are you going to rename the journal the "e3000 NewsWire" now?
:-)

HP's site was less than impressive. It took me a while to hunt down where
they are hiding the press release page these days, and the press release was
very high level (as might be expected) and doesn't give many details.

I note that www.hp.com/go/e3000 doesn't work, which I would have thought
would be an obvious thing to set up.

It appears that it's currently impossible to buy an e3000, since the "Where
to buy" link on all of HP's pages takes you to a page that lists one
distributor for the 3000 (Client Systems) but when you click on the link you
get an error. The page is also erroneously titled "HP LineJet Printers".

I followed the links to the HP Advisor articles, but was still left feeling
unsatisfied. I found the updates product detail PDFs, but don't have the
time right now to try to figure out what's different. I guess I'll try the
NewsWire again later.
