I can't answer the question as it pertains to Unison products, but I can
tell you what virtually every other user is doing with software vendors that
are unresponsive:

Send them a detailed questionaire (which really should contain no more than
4 or 5 questions) as to IF and WHEN their products will become Y2K
compliant. Indicate that failure to return the questionaire by the
prescribed timeframe will result in your firm to start exploring other
possibilities.

Given how close we are to D-Day, you also might do what a few of these users
are doing, adding a line indicating that answers are legally binding, and
any changes in status must be communicated in writing.

Send these out monthly. Yes, it drives the vendors nuts, BUT, it keeps them
on their toes. The ones that are truly Y2K complaint (or are seriously
getting there) will have no problem with completing your questionaire. The
ones that have something to hide (such as the fact they haven't started yet)
will push it off or lie. Those who lie will be exposed in due time. Those
who tell the truth will shine through almost immediately.

Good luck.

Best Regards,
Joe (who received too many questionaires, but had no problem filling them
all out and sening them back)
