Fred Metcalf asks:
> Has anybody found the user document, "High Availability Failover
> Utilities Configuration Guide," at the website: www.docs.hp.com?
An in-house search utility lists the URL as
< http://docs.hp.com/mpeix/HAFOcfg.htm >
but the document is not there.
The closest publicly-accessible info I can find is the year-old
< http://www.hp.com/ibpprogs/csy/advisor/spring98/ >
The relevant portion reads:
With the introduction of High Availability Array Failover,
available in July, disk array solutions will protect against
failures anywhere along the I/O path (card, cable, disk
controller, disk and components). By designating an
alternate path to information on the disk drive, disk
arrays with High Availability Failover provide redundancy
for all volume sets, including the system volume set.
Since <long name> *is* covered, HP could argue that there is no
need to mirror <long name> in MirrorDisk/iX, since an alternate
solution exists.
