Mark,
port 1536 DSCOPY/NFT file transfers
I believe 1537 and 1570 are also required.
Do you have all the ports open?

DSCOPY between two our of system is failing in a mysterious way.
"hertbert" (HE) is a 6.5 system. Remote system "bert" is a 7.5 system in a
different building (and thus a different LAN).
If we DSCOPY any file to "bert", we get this error:
=======================
[HE]PUB.SYS:dscopy ch174.mpub.mmv110 to
ch174.mpub.mmv110:bert[manager/XXXXXXXX.sy
s]
Source file: CH174.MPUB.MMV110
Target file: CH174.MPUB.MMV110
100% complete.
RECEIVED A GRACEFUL RELEASE OF THE CONNECTION. (SOCKERR 68)
CONNECTION TO TARGET NODE HAS GONE DOWN. (NS/NFTERR 27)
END OF SUBSYSTEM
[HE]PUB.SYS:
=======================
The file does not appear on the target system. On the console of the remote
system, I see:
=======================
** NS/3000 INTERNAL ERROR IN NFT; Job: #S103; PIN: 109; Info: 9
- NFT protocol err: 1
=======================
Trying to copy a file the other direction (from "bert" to "herbert") we see
the same thing, and the file transfer does not occur:
=======================
[BERT]PUB.SYS:dscopy marks.pub.sys to
marks.pub.sys:herbert[manager/XXXXXX.sys]
Source file: MARKS.PUB.SYS
Target file: MARKS.PUB.SYS
RECEIVED A GRACEFUL RELEASE OF THE CONNECTION. (SOCKERR 68)
CONNECTION TO TARGET NODE HAS GONE DOWN. (NS/NFTERR 27)
END OF SUBSYSTEM
[BERT]PUB.SYS:
=======================
And on the console of bert:
** NS/3000 NetIPC ERROR IN NFT; Job: #S91; PIN: 77; Info: 0
- NFT protocol err: 27
- Socket error : 68; RECEIVED A GRACEFUL RELEASE OF THE CONNECTION.
========================
We can successfully DSLINE and FTP between the two systems. It is only
DSCOPY that is appearing to have a problem.
This is a new 7.5 system and this is our first attempt to DSCOPY with it. We
think we have networking setup correctly, but clearly something is amiss.
Any ideas?
