yes. in the 80's. since then others have caught up and
hp hasn't improved/invented enough to keep the same delta
that existed at that time.

If you stand still they catch up and pass you. Once that happens
you can never catch back up.

And that folks is why the merger is a good idea - IMHO.

If you think hp is only mpe then you have not been paying attention.

Spend some time researching hp and you will find they are chock
full of technology that is way beyond anything mpe and our little
slice of the computing world has to offer. It just turns out that our
little world is just that - little. We don't spend enough money
buying new things.

It happens. Get over it. Plan intelligently. Move on. Don't look back.
