Excellent checklist.

I would make just a couple of minor changes, as follows:

I would split step 10 into 2 steps:

step 10a:

:hello manager.sys
:outfence 14
:file t;dev=tape
:restore *t;;directory;show=offline

step10b:

:restore *t;@[log in to unmask]@-log####-nmlg####;show=offline;keep;create;olddate

I prefer to have my directory intact before restoreing any other files.

In both cases, you want ;show=offline to ensure you have an audit trail of
everything as well as having the restore process being displayed in
progress to the console - or wherever the restore was issue from. Nothing
is more frustrating than the listing disappearing off the top of the
screen, or not showing up at all until the process completes and the spool
file is available.

The ;create option ensures that ALL files are restored - regardless of
whether the file's creator is still present in the directory. Together with
the restore audit trail that you have (as the result of ;show=offline), you
can then refer to it to know which user.account's you should be purging
from you system. (After all, they did not exist prior to the install).

The outfence 14 ensures that the offline store listing is safely placed on
disk in the OUT.HPSPOOL group. You could look at it with the PRINT command
prior to printing it - in any case you could print it after re-booting with
"start norecovery"

You almost certainly will not need the BULDJOB files - but good thing to
create just in case.

Another SLT? Probably unecesary - the last one you created is just fine.
Another backup? What for? Unless perhaps you want a spare copy in a vault
somewhere.
