Many thanks to everyone who replied either to the list or direct.

Interestingly, about 40% of the eminent users of this list categorically
said it was version 3.
The other 60% of equally eminent users were just as definate that it was
Version 4.

I've told my user that he still needs to get upgrades from his HP Support
Centre asap and come back into this decade.
