Jay,

Your HOME VOL SET for GROUP1 is shown as DISC.  Do you really have a user
volume with this name?  Your error message seems to indicate that you do
not, which would explain why the COPY does not work - no where to put the
file.

If you inadvertently created this group with a HOMEVS=DISC option, you can
use
  ALTGROUP GROUP1;HOMEVS=MPEXL_SYSTEM_VOLUME_SET
to move its home volumeset back to the system.
