Remember that the hundred(s) of users with Oracle's Transparent Gateway
for IMAGE/SQL are *included* in those using "IMAGE databases...in real-life
OLTP production work."

The more interesting question is, "How many HP 3000 systems are using the
Oracle product *without* using the Transparent Gateway." Knowing how both
the performance and the resource requirements compare between
implementations would be revealing.
