Why not try this:

Edit your udc file and keep it to udc2
do a newlink udc,udc2
do a setcatalog udc;account

Now if you ever want to change the udc file, even with folks logged on
simply edit the file and keep it as a new name, then purge link and
newlink the file. The system catalog still points to the link so every one
now signing on will point to the new file. It also leaves a nice way to
show what has been changed, if needed.

Subject: UDC theory

Just a sanity check on my udc theory, which is a little rusty.

When I upgrade from 5.5 to 6.0, I need to make one change to my
PowerHouse udc. This udc is set account by account.

If no one is logged on into any of the accounts that use the udc, I only
need to make the modification to the udc file and keep it. Then the
changes are there the next time someone logs into that account.

Is this correct?

TIA
