Since you are going onto 5.0, probably no. ... but...

However, a few releases of MPE/iX and MPE XL had a limitation that
prevented them from booting up on 9x2 and 9x5 machines where the first
memory card was less than 16 MB. HP-UX finally ran into that problem,
after MPE, and fixed it in 10.01.

The basic problem was that MPE's bootup grew to the point where it
needs more than 8MB. On those machines with a controller-per-board
(9x2, 9x5), MPE wasn't able to handle configuring in TWO controllers
during bootup. Hence, the limitation that the first board had to be > 8 MB.
BTW, this problem surfaced with (I think) either 4.5 or early 5.0.
Earlier releases were able to boot within the 8MB limit.

In short, to be safe, put a bigger board first!
