FYI,

http://www.ktvb.com/news/localnews/stories/ktvbn-feb2309-micron.45a480bf.html

"BOISE - Micron
Technology is shutting down its 200 millimeter fabrication plant in
Boise – and as many as 2,000 people will lose their jobs in Boise."

200 millimeter?  Is that a typo???  It has to be a typo.  I am surprised that it is still operational.  Intel is investing 1.7 Billion in Oregon to produce 32nm chips.  The Intel facility will be on-line and operational by forth quarter 2009.

For those who don't remember...

200 (mm) millimeters = 200 thousandth of a meter = 200,000,000 nanometers

32 nanometers= 32 billionths of a meter
