Hello, all, I am attempting to get Samba up and running on our HP3000 918
running MPE/iX 6.0, PP2. I have Samba configured and running under JINETD.
NS/VT works, as does Telnet, so I assume the networking stuff is okay.

However, when I try to test using the smbclient utility thusly:

shell/iX> smbclient -L <sambaserver>

and from a PC, using DOS:

c:\> net view\\servername

I am at a loss as to what I should use in the place of <sambaserver> and
servername. I have tried various things, including the IP address, without
success. I have read the Samba/iX Services section of the Configuring and
Managing Internet Services manual as well as searched the HP3000-L archive
and cannot find anything. I am sure it is something simple, but I don't
know what it is. Can anybody help me?

As an aside, where does HP get the "shell/iX>" prompt they use in the shell
examples? When I run sh.hpbin.sys, I get a "$" for a prompt.
