I don't know if you're referring to the hp3000-l/comp.sys.hp.mpe FAQ or
some other one, but I get your drift, I think.
 
For the "hp3000-l" faq, I should have done it long ago, but fortunately Chris
Bartram of 3K has been doing a fine job of keeping one current.  It may not
be in the greatest format, and it isn't periodically posted (which you seem
to not like and I concur), but it exists.  Kudos to Chris, but perhaps we
should revise the format and provide HTML (web) access since it is getting
rather lengthy.  Maintaining the beast is a labor of love for which I have
neither the time nor the patience at present.
 
If you're referring to HP Corporate policy, with regards to the 3000, then
good luck.  Maybe Interex can provide some input here, but I don't know that
we need a "corporate" FAQ versus a "users" FAQ.
