I hope that Road Runner users howl.

It is a strange twist of fate that I am working with Maestro on NT for a
client. This allows me to watch what happens with Tivoli and Unison from
a certain perspective, and with great interest. Since Tivoli and Maestro
are supposed to be enterprise tools, running on everything, I would
think that they would want to bring Road Runner into the fold, rather
than "retired", especially in light of the 3000's renaissance. Were I a
Road Runner user, I would assume that the rep is mistaken, and make it
clear in my communications with Tivoli that that must be the case, since
this can only hurt sales, especially to Road Runner users, and probably
to anyone on this list. * Surely * it must be Tivoli's intention to
rebirth Road Runner as a Y2K compliant backup tool with all the bells
and whistles that integrates beautifully with ADSM and Tivoli's suite of
enterprise tools. Yep, I would howl, long and loud.

Unless this is a great opportunity for Orbit, HP, HiComp, and anyone
else who vends MPE backup products. I wonder if Tivoli would divest Road
Runner to another vendor?
