Dear Colleague,

My broad shoulders received some blows last year over our 1998 Conference &
Exhibition in Telford. Even though I didn't think all the criticism was
justified, I decided to stay out of the argument at the time and come back
when I was good and ready. The time is now...

We've done a lot of work in the UK User Group to prepare for a great
Conference this October 19-20. We are receiving major backing from HP UK in
the person of Hugh Jenkins, and, for HP3000 specifics, from Emmet Hayes
(who is profiled in the current HP User Magazine - subscribe free via the
web: see address below).

I write now to invite you to submit an Abstract for the Conference: this
could be either for a 40-minute Conference Session, or for a training
session (half or full day).

We want this to be the best conference yet; we're targeting 1000 delegates;
and we want a strong HP3000 focus. Already, many HP3000-focused vendors
have booked for the Exhibition and Harry Sterling has promised senior HP
representation.

Over to you.

Peter Bradley
General Manager, HPCUA

It's easy to submit an Abstract - check out our website: www.hpusers.org.uk
