I did not want to create the impression that there is no
other solution.  The last time this SR was actively worked
on was in 1998, since then a lot of things have changed.

Since you say you can easily duplicate this (which is good
for a fix test-bed), and also still hit this more than
once in a while, you can always request that HP (aka 'we')
reconsider our position.  And if you are also willing to
beta test (which is not a given these days with many of
our customers), then we can seriously consider to investigate
whether and how to fix this.

situations can change, and so can priorities and decisions.
