Well, since the world seems to be going to ATM backbones, first go to
your ATM, insert your bank card, key in your PIN, and withdraw all your
money from all your accounts. You'll need it :-) [Just kidding]

Sounds like your DTC and HP are connected by 10Base2 (thin coax) and
your PC network is connected by 10Base2. In this case, yes; you need
a cable segment long enough to reach from one to the other. Hire two
union electrical contractors, one for each end [sorry, kidding again].
Place a colleague on one end of the cable near a terminator of your
network. Place yourself on the other end of the cable near a terminator
on either the HP or the DTC (you did install terminators on both ends,
right?). Yell "GO!" and you two simultaneously remove the terminators
and replace them with the cable. You are now "networked".

Depends on what you meant above by a "peer-to-peer" network. If you
have Windows 95 or WfWG, and have Microsoft TCP installed (there is a
WINSOCK.DLL somewhere) you're almost there. If you have plain old
Reflection, you will have to setup telnet server on your HP (and have
MPE 5.5 plus the most recent telnet patch) and use "telnet" from the
Reflection connection type. If you got the "Reflection for HP with
NS/VT" you can use VT-MGR as the connection type and skip the telnet.
If you're not sure, look for RNNSVT.DLL somewhere on your PCs.

If you do not have TCP/IP installed, you'll need to find some type of
TCP stack for Windows 3.1; there are many commercial ones and some
shareware ones (like Trumpet).

Now you have to setup the HP for TCP/IP. I'll refer you to the FAQ list
for that (available on http://www.3k.com) since it's a bit lengthy.
