You might try:

STORE ^filelist;*fileref;SHOW;PURGE

where

filelist is an ascii text file containing a list of files to be purge
and
fileref is a file equation such as
    FILE FILEREF;DEV=TAPE   to store files to tape before purging or
    FILE FILEREF=$NULL      which stores to $NULL before purging files.
