I just started using a DLT7000 drive, with DLTtape IV. I have a 82 Gb file system that is 50% (41Gb in use) full. The tape media claims capacity of 35/70Gb when used with a DLT7000 drive. I have the DLT7000 compression on, at least the light is on, so why does my backup require a second tape? Could some one on the list tell me how to set the DLT7000 to use the least amount of tape space, so I can get the maximum byte count on one tape?

Thanks in advance,
