Our HP3000-(18LX experienced a powerfail recovery last evening due to a fault
in the UPS unit.  After a 'start recover' we are getting the following error:

cannot create dbs mpe error %000144

I am going to reform a shutdown and start norecover but I am interested if
anyone here knows what this is and can explain what the exact cause is.
