We have always known that. It's good to hear this confirmed by Denys
himself :-)

I am no Mac guru (Macs don't need gurus...), so I can't speak for the other
distinguished Mac users. But, from my own experience, I can say that Denys
and I enjoy a healthy give-and-take on this. In fact, for the list's peace
of mind, I want to state, for the record, that Denys and I have *lengthy*
private correspondences on all kinds of topics (including how to deal with
crying babies at night -- being old-timer programmers with odd
college-all-nighter hours, it turns out that Denys and I have done our fair
share of nightly baby-calming while our beloved wives took a well-deserved
rest).

Regardless of our specific allegiances (or lack thereof), a few rib-poking
barbs (or whatever the appropriate English expression may be) are to be
expected. Life would be too boring otherwise. Besides, neither Denys nor
I are "yes men" (in case you haven't noticed).

Hopefully, our exchanges of opinions (all based on reality, except for
*his* Mac opinions) have helped open otherwise-shut eyes among the members
of this list. I just happen to believe that marching lock-step to the
dictates of *anybody* is not healthy. A few well-directed questions at
certain assumptions *are* indeed healthy.

That's why I use Netscape 4.0.3 (for the Mac, of course). Although I have
made every effort to make Adager's web site "Best Viewed with *ANY*
Browser".

Back to HP3000 programming after this short break!

:-)
