Well I am on 5.5 and I got the driver on a 6.5 tape. My issue is the HP response center is telling me that I can not install this driver, because the Expert Center said it could cause a system abort. Now I am afraid I will not be able to use the 100 base card, and will have to use the 10 base card. This will cause a slowdown on network traffic of 90%.

RE: Lan Card

What you need depends on what version of the O/S
you are on. Emile Kwan Fong of HP gave this
reference in another forum: On MPEiX 5.5, you'll
need the card (A5488A is the one HP recommends for
HP3000), the software product (B5427BA) AND some
patches (listed in the below document).

On MPE/iX 6.0 with powerpatch #2, only the card
and the software product are required.

On MPEiX 6.5 and higher, only the card and the
software product are required.

Just a FYI: The software product (B5427BA) is no longer available or
orderable from HP for MPE/iX 5.5 or 6.0.
